I like The Menzingers. They’re nice guys. Two nights ago their van was smashed into after their show in Manchester; they lost their passports, merch money and the stuff you like to keep with you in a backpack when you’re travelling around the world.
Banquet Records set up a donation page on their website and lots of people, blogs and websites did their best to make sure that people were aware of the situation. The response was actually pretty damn inspiring. Yesterday I got a text from Ant from Moon and Back Music about doing a Menzingers cover for a benefit comp, so I went upstairs to my room and recorded this on my phone - warts ‘n’ all.
